Lighting Up Nottingham! Our Fabulous Glow Run!

Well, Nottingham certainly didn’t know what had hit it last night! 😂

A bunch of slightly bonkers runners and walkers, armed with glow sticks, flashing lights, colourful tutus and enough energy to light up the city!

Yes, it was our Runspire Together Glow Run, and what an absolutely brilliant night we had!

We set off from the Old Market Square, lighting up the streets of Nottingham as we went. And we certainly turned a few heads!

People cheered us on, waved, laughed and even stopped us to ask what on earth we were doing! It was fantastic to tell them about Runspire Together. Who knows, we might have inspired a few new members along the way!

But behind all the flashing lights and silliness was something really important.

Running or walking in the dark can feel a little scary, especially on your own. But when you’re surrounded by friends, laughter and a ridiculous number of glow sticks, suddenly the dark doesn’t seem so scary after all!

That’s the magic of Runspire. We’re not bothered about speed, distance or looking like professional athletes. We’re all about getting out, having a laugh, making friends and enjoying ourselves.

And if that means running through Nottingham looking like a travelling disco, then so be it! 🪩😂
